SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Authorities say four people died in in a head-on collision on I-90 east of Alexandria yesterday afternoon.
The Highway Patrol says a man driving a pickup eastbound in the westbound lanes crashed into an S-U-V.
The driver of the pickup and three people in the S-U-V were killed. A female passenger in the S-U-V survived with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Flames erupted from the collision and both sides of the interstate were closed. Traffic was diverted to state Highway 38.
Names have not been released until relatives are notified.
