Sioux Falls, S.D. (KELO-AM) - Police identify the victim in yesterday’s fatal car-motorcycle crash on West 41st as 56-year-old Dale Schoffelman of Sioux Falls.
Officer Sam Clemens says investigators suspect 25-year-old Trevor Blankartz was under the influence of pills when he pulled out in front of Schoffelman’s motorcycle.
Blankartz told investigators that he was distracted by a bicyclist and did not see Schoffelman as he turned onto 41st Street.
Clemens says Blankartz is charged with vehicular homicide.
