SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The Sioux Falls Police Department is seeking candidates who want to make law enforcement a career.
Assistant Police Chief Matt Burns says applications to become an officer are due September 14.
Burns says community policing has become a mainstay of the department. He says officers must be able to comfortably talk with residents, establish a connection with the community. He says that feature is not alway found in other cities.
