Baltic, SD (KELO AM) - A Sioux Falls woman, identified as Ashley Heesch, 19, died in a one-vehicle crash Friday night near Baltic.
Heesch was driving a 1992 Chevy C10 southbound on Interstate 29 when she lost control passing the Baltic exit. The vehicle went into the west ditch and rolled several times. Heesch was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger, Makenzi Brown, 18, Council Bluffs, Iowa, sustained serious non-life threatening injuries. She was transported to a Sioux Falls hospital.
Neither occupant was wearing a seat belt.
The Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
