SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KEL0 AM) - Parks and Recreation used the recently completed Sertoma Avenue trail connection to Legacy Park in western Sioux Falls to announce that new neighborhood access points are in the works.
Director of Parks and Rec Don Kearney says there will be more projects connecting neighborhoods to the trail system.
Kearney says improved access means more trail users. He says those points provide safe travel for all skill levels of bicyclists, moms with strollers, walkers and joggers. To have that dedicated trail access, he says, means users may not have cross a city street.
Kearney says nineteen kiosks have been placed in parks around the trail with general information and basic trail etiquette.
