SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Police say a 63-year-old Sioux Falls man suffered life threatening injuries in a car-bicycle accident on West 41st Street yesterday.
Officer Sam Clemens says he was riding on the sidewalk near Barnes and Noble when a 56-year-old woman was turning from a gas station driveway.
Clemens says there many witnesses to the crash including a male passenger in the vehicle who saw the bicyclist, shouted at the driver to stop, but it was too late.
The Florence, South Dakota, woman was cited for failure to yield and failure to exercise due care.
The victim remains hospitalized, his condition unknown. He hit the front passenger side of the vehicle.
Names have not been released and the investigation continues.
