SIOUX FALLS (KELO AM) - The Sioux Falls Police Department conducted an alcohol compliance check of 21 local businesses yesterday. All 21 businesses passed by refusing to sell alcohol to an underage person.
Officer Sam Clemens says that's two perfect checks in a row. He says five citations were issued to offending clerks in June but since then not one sale has been made to the minor.
The underage buyer uses his or her own driver’s license in every check.
In an effort to protect the young people of our community, the SFPD will continue to conduct random alcohol compliance checks. Clemens says every off sale business in Sioux Falls is checked twice a year.
