Developing a parcel of downtown riverfront property

SIOUX FALL, S.D. (KELO AM) - The City is asking for proposals to develop a three-quarter acre site on the west bank of the Big Sioux River across from the Hilton Garden Inn.

Director of Community Development Darrin Smith says the bar will be high, nothing less than a home run will be considered.

The City has received multiple inquiries regarding the availabilty of the site for private investment.  The City believes the triangle-shaped site on the river may be attractive for a mix of private and public uses.            

The parcel is a remnant left by demolishing the River Ramp parking lot.
