SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office says a man arrested in an attempted robbery last night in Hartford is a suspect in recent area robberies.
Captain Paul Neidringhaus says 41-year-old Jason Wayne Dunkelberger of Tea is accused of demanding money from the clerk but fled without any cash. Neidringhaus says Dunkelberger made it appear to the clerk that he was armed.
After a pursuit, where speeds reached one-hundred miles an hour, Dunkelberger crashed his car just inside Turner County.
Dunkelberger is charged with robbbery, grand theft; the Ford was stolen in Humboldt, reckless driving and aggravated eluding.
