Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) - Sioux Falls'  phenominal growth continues. City Planner Jeff Schmitt says the region's largest city will have 60 to 70 thousand more residents in the area by the year 2035. That's why the city is trying to stay ahead of the growth projections.Schmitt added that obviously, also means they all need places to live, work and go to school.  During 2010, the City adopted the Comprehensive Plan. Now it's time for the five year review.

"We've got new roads we're going to be talking about, population projections, we have more real estate information, we have new information about FEMA and the flood maps...all that information is going to be packaged" said Schmitt. He says the public will have a chance to weigh in on the proposed plan updates during a series of forums to be held city wide this spring. Mr. Schmitt was the guest on this week's edition of KELO Radio's "South Dakota Home Talk" with Marcus Walgrave, heard Saturday mornings at 9:00 AM.
