SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls Police are taking fifty kids from low income families Christmas shopping tonight at Target.
Officer Jim Larson says many of the kids buy presents for other family members.
Larson says its an opportunity for many children to see the other side of law enforcement rather than in an emergency. He says the kids can see first hand that law enforcement officers do care.
The kids are picked by The Banquet.
Other partners include Fraternal Order of Police, MInnehaha County Deputies Association, Brandon Optimist Club and School Bus Inc.
