Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) -The Sioux Falls Police Department conducted a New Year’s Eve saturation patrol, with 7 additional officers focusing on the impaired driver. The saturation was conducted from 7:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m.
The saturation results for only the 7 saturation officers were 5 DWI arrests, 2 speeding citations, 5 alcohol offenses, 8 driver’s license violations, 16 warning tickets, 11 insurance violations,1 stop light violation, 1 stop sign violation, and 3 miscellaneous citations issued.
The Sioux Falls Police Department will continue to conduct saturation patrols periodically during 2016.
