Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - A man wanted in connection with a murder in South Carolina was shot and killed by a U.S. Marshall in Sioux Falls Saturday afternoon.
According to KSFY, federal authorities had tracked 37 year-old Lonnie Haskell Powers Jr., to the city and located him in the East 10th Street Lewis Drug parking lot about 1:30 p.m. After a short standoff, Powers Jr. produced a hand gun and was fatally shot by a U.S. Marshall.
The FBI continues to investigate the shooting.
