Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - The city of Sioux Falls Municipal/School Board Election will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016. City Council positions up for election are At-Large, Northeast District, Northwest District, and Southwest District.
Friday, January 29, 2016 marks the first day that nominating petitions can be circulated and filed. Election booklets and petition forms may be picked up at the City Clerk's office located at 235 W 10th Street, they may also be downloaded at www.siouxfalls.org/election.
Council members that will be vacating their spot due to term limits are:
- Kenny Anderson Jr, Northeast District
- Dean Karsky, Northwest District
- Greg Jamison, Southwest District
Additionally, At-Large Council Member Kermit L. Staggers is up for re-election.

The filing deadline for petitions is Friday, February 26th at 5PM
