Undated (KELO AM) - A little bit of snow and a lot of wind are forecast for the area for today.
For the immediate Sioux Falls area, a wind advisory will be in effect from noon Sunday through noon on Monday. The area could see wind gusts to 45 mph. Along with the winds, less than an inch of snow could fall in the Sioux Falls area. Low visibilities could be the result.
To the north, east and southeast of Sioux Falls, Blizzard Warnings have been issued through Monday morning.. An inch or two of snow is expected, along with the snow pack from Tuesday, and winds to 55 mph could produce blizzard conditions. Brooking, Pipestone, Worthington, Sheldon and Storm Lake are some of the cities in the warned area.
The I-29 corridor north of Brookings to the Canadian border and I-90 across most of southern Minnesota are affected by the blizzard warnings.
To the west, high wind warnings have been issued through this evening, Some areas could see wind gusts to 75 mph.
