SIOUX FALLS, S.D (KELO AM) - Governor Daugaard says he’s never issued a veto that the house of origin hasn’t moved to override; adding it’s a natural process.

Daugaard is referring to the transgender bathroom bill which the prime sponsor urged lawmakers to not attempt an override.

Daugaard expects that if House members chose to debate and vote on an override, he guesses the action would come on Monday.

Daugaard says if the House votes to override it goes to the Senate.

Meanwhile...Democratic legislative leaders say the biggest measures next week include setting the state budget and revising the school funding formula.

Senator Billie Sutton of Burke says the change in the formula is the crux of the reform.

Sutton says that includes capping reserves, getting money to teachers, establishing a new formula and setting the target salary. Burke says those are the biggest pieces to education reform.

Next week is the last full week of the session.  The last day to consider vetoes is Tuesday, March 29.
