SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A Sioux Falls man suffered a compound fracture of his leg early this morning when he was run over in the Detour Bar parking lot near 10th Street and Kiwanis.
Officer Sam Clemens says the 36-year-old victim and the suspect had been fighting in a nearby gas station.
Clemens says the suspect and victim had been trading text messages with one another and that led to the victim punching the suspect in the face at the gas station.
The men seperated and both walked outside. The victim heard an engine reving and when he turned around he says a car coming for him. He couldn't get out of the way fast enough and was hit.
Clemens says the driver has not been arrested but police believe they have the suspect's name. He says a witness managed to get the suspect's license plate numbers.
