SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Absentee voting for the April city-school board election opens today at the Minnehaha County Auditor's Office.
Sioux Falls City Clerk Tom Greco says today is also the voter registration deadline. Greco says residents can register to vote at: Lincoln or Minnehaha County Auditor's Offices, the Sioux Falls City Clerk's or City Finance Offices, driver's license station, military recruitment offices or public assistance agencies.
To vote absentee in person go to the Minnehaha County Auditor's Office. To vote absentee by mail, submit an "Absentee Ballot Application Form" to your respective County Auditor.
Voters will decide on two school board members, an At-Large City Council member and Council members for the Southwest, Northwest and Northeast Districts as well as six Charter Amendments.
Hard copy sample ballots are available at Sioux Falls Libraries, City Hall, Carnagie Town Hall and the Minnehaha County Auditor's office.
The city-school board election is Tuesday, April 12, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters will use precinct polling places.
