SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls School District Teacher of the Year will be named tonight. School Board President Kent Alberty says the reception is at Callaways tonight at seven.
Alberty says Vern Eide Motor Cars will award the Teacher of the Year with $4,000.
Prior to the reception, the School Board will hear a strategic planning update from Superintendent Dr. Brian Maher in today's regular meeting.
He'll also give the board an update on the literacy grant program for elementary students in special education. It's the first year of a three-year grant from the South Dakota Department of Education.
