SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO AM) – Beginning Monday, April 4, South Dakota Department of Transportation crews will be doing routine scheduled inspections of all overhead sign structures along the I-229 corridor.
The work will require short-term lane closures in order for the crews to access the portion of the structure over the traveled lanes.
Crews will work during the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., depending on weather conditions and expect to complete the inspections by April 19.
Motorists are advised to remain alert for equipment and workers within the inspection areas and be prepared for suddenly slowing and merging traffic.
