Undated (KELO AM) - Just in time for Severe Weather Awareness Week, there is a slight chance for severe weather Sunday.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible this morning, but these storms are not expected to become severe.
By mid afternoon additional showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop west of interstate 29 and progress east into the evening. A few of these storms could become severe with golf ball size hail, wind gusts to 60 mph and isolated tornadoes possible.
The best chance for this severe threat will be from 3 pm to 5 pm west of interstate 29 and from 5 pm through 8 pm east of interstate 29.
