Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) The Sioux Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau has announced the 2016 Visitor Industry Award winners.
Each year, The CVB honors indviduals and businesses who have made a positive impact and showed consistent support to the industry.
Awards are in four categories: First impressions, Business, Media and Heart of the City.
KELO Radio News Director Jack Taylor won the Media Award.
First Impressions went to Don South, Strawbale Winery, the Business Award to CH Patisserie, Chris Hammer, and the Heart of the City to Cindy and Tom Walsh.
The 2016 Augustana Men's Basketball Team and outgoing City Councilors Kenny Anderson, Jr, Kermit Staggers, Dean Karsky, and Greg Jamison received special awards, as did Tom Douple.
The awards were announced during the Visitor Industry Luncheon on Tuesday. The featured speaker, was sports marketer J.B. Bernstein, who inspired the Disney move, 'Million Dollar Arm'.
