SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - One contender is riding a seven-fight winning streak and the other has won five out of his last six in the Octagon and they will square-off July 13th at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.
Contender Michael Chiesa has won in five, first-round finishes and he'll face number three ranked Tony Ferguson when the Ultimate Fighting Championship comes to Sioux Falls.
Chiesa says Ferguson was scheduled to fight the lightweight champion but had to miss the bout because of injury. Chiesa feels that if he can "put the hurt" on Ferguson in July is will improve his odds of being next in line to take on the champ.
Tickets for UFC Fight Night go on sale Friday morning at ten through Ticketmaster or at the KELOLAND Box Office.
There's also an undercard on the July Fight Night. This the first time the Ultimate Fighting Championship has come to Sioux Falls.
