SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Many hands make light work could be the theme for tomorrow's Third Annual Big Sioux River Greenway Cleanup which depends heavily on volunteers.
Environmental Analyst Matthew Gedney says garbage and recyclables are targeted but occasionally there are surprises.
Gedney says volunteers have found car transmissions and cattle guards but the majority is typical garbage tossed away or picked up by the river's flow and deposited in Sioux Falls.
Volunteers can start between eight and eleven tomorrow morning at one of thirteen river locations:
