Sioux Falls S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation announces that the outdoor ice rinks will open for the season at 4 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2013, weather permitting.
Hours of operation will be Monday through Thursday: 4 to 8 p.m.; Friday: 4 to 9 p.m.; Saturday: 1 to 9 p.m.; and Sunday: 1 to 8 p.m. Ice skates are available for rent at all rinks. Prices are as follows: youth ages 15 and under—$1.00, adults ages 16 to 54—$3.00, and seniors ages 55 and better—$2.00. Children 6 years old and younger must be accompanied by someone 16 years old or older. Friday Night Special, all skates $1.00.
Holiday Schedule
December 24: 1 to 4 p.m. December 21–January 1: 1 to 9 p.m. December 25: Closed.Normal operating hours will begin again on Thursday, January 2, 2014.

Campus Park 26th Street and Summit Avenue Frank Olson Park 16th Street and Grandview Avenue McKennan Park 21st Street and Third Avenue Memorial Park 26th Street and Sertoma Avenue Sherman Park 15th Street and Kiwanis Avenue Tuthill Park South Cliff Avenue, southeast of I-229
The Tuthill sledding hill is available for public use but is no longer supervised. Park patrons are encouraged to follow general safety recommendations posted and parental supervision is recommended.
