SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) -The City Administrator of Dell Rapids briefed the Minnehaha County Commission today on plans to expand a tax increment financing district that would pay a substantial part of the industrial park's infrastructure.

Justin Weiland says the TIF will cover fifteen years and the city is issuing a sales tax revenue bond of $800,000.

Weiland says the TIF should bring in $600,000 and sales tax revenue will cover the rest.  He says the city is still in the public hearing stage.

Weiland says interest in the area increased once Midwest Fresh Logistics, a fresh produce supplier, started building a twenty-thousand square foot facility.

He says the TIF will provide water, storm sewer and sewer service to the Dell's industrial park on Quartzite Street.
