SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Police credit the media and Sioux Falls citizens for an arrest in a car-pedestrian accident earlier this week.

Lieutenant Jerry Miller says a phone call led police to 33-year-old Mark Morris.  Miller says police found Morris' car in the 1000 block of North MInnesota Avenue yesterday afternoon.  He says the front end damage to the Honda Civic was consistent with what investigators had determined happened at the site on South Grange Avenue.

Miller says in some cities residents don't want to get involved, they didn't see anything and they don't stop and talk.  He says that doesn't happen in Sioux Falls and he's proud to live here.

Morris is charged with felony leaving the scene of an injury accident.

58-year-old Reva Rezac of Sioux Falls remains in critical condition.
