Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) The presidential choices are the most prominent on the South Dakota Primary ballot June 7, but there are also many contested local races.

In the Sioux Falls area, voters make decisions involving six state legislative seats.
On the Republican side:
Incumbent Deb Peters is challenged by Lora Hubbel in District 9 Senate. In District 11 House, the candidates are David Landry, Chris Karr, and Mark Willadsen. For District 14 House, the choices are Larry Zikmund, Tom Holmes and Dave Zimbeck. For District 25 House, Roger Hunt, Courtney Ecklund, and Tom Pischke are the candidates.
On the Democratic side:
Reynolds Nesiba and Patrick Kirschman are battling for District 15 Senate. For District 25 House, the choices are David Haagenson and Dan Ahlers.
Three Republicans are running for a spot on the Minnehaha County Commission - Dick Kelly, Jean Bender, and former Sioux Falls City Councilman Dean Karsky.
Two Republicans are vying for Minnehaha County Treasurer - Marlin Schlenker and Kris Swanson.
