SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-AM) On October 18, 2013, Paul King, Dave Mesz, and Bill Palmer exemplified what being a good citizen and a hero means. The three were on their way home to Garretson with their friend, Dawn Conrad, when she suddenly became unresponsive. They stopped their vehicle and recognized that she did not have a pulse, began lifesaving CPR, and called 911 to start emergency medical services.
Paul, Dave, and Bill overcame any fears of the situation and provided care and life-saving assistance when Dawn needed it. Dawn is alive today due to the actions these three took.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue (SFFR), on behalf of the community, would like to recognize these three heroes in our community. At 5:30 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2013, at Fire Station 7, located at 1100 East Benson Rodd, SFFR will recognize these citizen heroes for their actions.
