SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The average price for regular gasoline rose to $2.38 a gallon yesterday.

That’s up 4.2 cents from a week ago says the Energy Information Administration.

Pump prices were highest at highest in the West Coast states at $2.70 a gallon.  Prices were lowest in the Gulf Coast states at $2.14 a gallon.

Triple A South Dakota says the average price of a gallon of regular in Sioux Falls this morning is $2.20, ranging from $2.04 to $2.59.

Meanwhile...oil prices continued climbing today, hitting eight month highs.  U.S. crude stockpiles fell by 3.5 million barrels last week for a third straight week.  Attacks on Nigeria's oil industry further enhance concerns over potential supply shortages.
