SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Partners in Pettigrew Manor, an affordable housing project at 10th and Summit, broke ground today.
Director of Community Development, Darren Ketcham says two of the eight units will be fully A-D-A accessible.
Pettigrew Manor is another step in the rehabilitation of Pettigrew Heights in central Sioux Falls. Older apartments and houses were leveled to make room for safe and affordable housing with off-street parking.
The one bedroom apartments will be available in January to tenants at thirty to fifty percent of the median average income.
The city announced yesterday that it was kicking-in over $800,000 for the project.
Other partners include South Dakota Housing Development Authority, First Congregational Church, MetaBank and Affordable Housing Solutions.
