SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - U.S. Representative Kristi Noem (R-SD) says even though she doesn't always agree with everything Donald Trump says, she will vote for him.
Noem says Trump has a vision for smaller government which is something the country desperately needs.
She says she's very disappointed in his language and the things he has said, although, Hillary clinton is an endorsement of President Obama's policies and she can't support that agenda.
Noem says there should be much more respect for taxpayers and hard working individuals trying to get through the administration's regulatory burden.
Meanwhile...Noem says her Medicare Mental Health Access Act would provide quicker access to mental healthcare by allowing recipients to see a clinical psychologist without a referral by a primary care doctor.
Noem says the requirement is especially harmful for rural and underserved areas like South Dakota when a physician is unavailable to oversee a clinical psychologist's treatment program. She says those services are simply not offered.
Noem says the Act defines psychologists as "physicians" allowing patients to see them directly.
Noem testified yesterday before the House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee.
