Sioux Falls, S.D. (KELO-AM) - Travel may be difficult in the Sioux Falls area again today. A winter weather advisory continues until 6pm tonight.
Light snowfall will combine with strong northwest winds to create lots of blowing snow through late this afternoon. The National Weather Service says snow accumulation will be an inch and a half or less today.
Northwest winds will average 25 to 40 mph today before decreasing late this afternoon. Visibilities will be the big problem, as they are expected to fall to around a half mile or less at times in open areas.
The National Weather Service says a winter weather advisory for snow and blowing snow means that visibilities will be limited due to a combination of falling and blowing snow. Use caution when traveling, especially in open areas.
