SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A Worthington, Minnesota, man is accused of strangling his 20-year-old girlfriend in a Sioux Falls motel on West Russell Street last night.
Lieutenant Loren McManus says 22-year-old Gunner Beckering is charged with aggravated and simple assault and possession of marijuana. McManus says when police went to the motel to invesitgate the assault, they found a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia.
McManus says the 20-year-old woman is from Baltic.
He says the simple assault charges are because Beckering verbally threatened her.
