Disappointing talley in county liquor check

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Minnehaha County authorities are surprised there were so many liquor sales to underage buyers in last night’s sting.

Sergeant Jason Gearman says 67 on and off sale businesses were checked and 9 failed.  Gearman says the clerk is issued a citation that includes courtroom appearance and the businesses risk losing their liquor license/

Gearman says the county performs liquor compliance checks twice a year.
