SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls Police have not released the names of two men involved in a fatal motorcycle accident early this morning at 26th Street and Kiwanis Avenue.
Lieutenant Jerry Miller says the operator of the motorcycle died in the crash while the passenger is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Miller says both men are in their early twenties, the survivor is from Sioux Falls and the man who died is from out of state.
Miller says the men had been at a house party and were taking the bike for a short spin. He says they were westbound on 26th Street at a high rate of speed, according to witnesses. The operator lost control of the bike, it slid on it's side and he hit his head on the curb
Neither wore a helmet.
It has not been determined if alcohol was involved.
