SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-AM) The last of four Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce sponsored Legislative Coffees will be held this Friday, Feb. 28 from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Holiday Inn City Centre Starlite Room (100 W. 8th St.).
State lawmakers will discuss important issues currently before the South Dakota Legislature and answer questions from the public submitted through a moderator. The Sioux Falls area legislative delegation includes districts 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15, as well as 16 and 25. Legislative coffees have been planned with districts 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15.
Earlier in February, three Legislative Coffees were held on Saturdays. For the first time, this week's event is being held on a Friday to provide another opportunity for constituents to meet with their elected officials. Sponsors will review the event after the fact and see if continuing a weekday option would be beneficial. This Friday is not a legislative day.
