SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-AM) The South Dakota Technology Business Center is seeking entrepreneurs with high tech and scalable business ideas to apply for participation in their Accelerator program. The program offers 6 to 12 selected companies the opportunity to improve their messaging, evaluate and adjust their business model, meet and work with resources that can help them build their businesses and learn to pitch for equity funding.“The competitive application process allows us to evaluate candidates and ideally pick those who are most likely to succeed and could benefit most from the program,” said Pam Boehm, the Entrepreneurship and incubation manager at SDTBC.
The program offers participant’s opportunities to identify needs that financial grants of up to $5000 can help them overcome. They learn the process of planning to work through obstacles and to pitch for funding. ”The process is exciting to watch because entrepreneurs need to do so many things to build a successful business, this helps them to focus on things they can accomplish, one step at a time” Boehm says.
Potential entrepreneurs should go to www.sdtbc.com/accelerator to learn more about the program and down load the short application. The application deadline is Monday, April 21st. For more information contact Pam Boehm at 605 275-8008 or pamb@sdtbc.com.
