Sioux Falls, South Dakota: The suspect from the attempted robbery of the Sleep Inn, 1500 North Kiwanis Avenue, has been arrested. Early Wednesday morning, a man walked into the Sleep Inn armed with a handgun. After the clerk locked herself in an office and called police, the suspect left the business without any money.
Through surveillance video, police were able to identify the suspect. An arrest warrant was issued on Thursday charging Nathaniel Lee Altman with Attempted First Degree Robbery, Aggravated Assault, and Attempted Grand Theft. The warrant was issued with a $100,000 bond. Altman also had an active warrant for robbery from Fort Dodge, Iowa.
On Thursday afternoon Sioux Falls Police and the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office arrested Nathaniel Altman at a house in the 1400 block of South Willow Avenue. He was arrested without incident.
