Sioux Falls S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls was named on a list of the five cities in the nation with the lowest tax burden. That’s according to a 24/7 Wall Street story on a report released by the Office of Revenue Analysis of the District of Columbia.
The report examined state and local taxes paid by taxpayers living in the largest city in each of the 50 states. The analysis included property, income, sales, and auto taxes and measured the overall tax burden for hypothetical families at various income levels.
Sioux Falls appeared at No. 5 on the list of those cities with the overall lowest tax burden.
