Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) A sentencing jury in Sioux Falls Wednesday decided that admitted killer James McVay is eligible for the death penalty - now the jury will decide if he gets it.
McVay admitted to killed 75-year-old Maybelle Schein in 2011, as part of a bizarre plan to assassinate President Obama. His defense claims he is guilty but mentally ill.
The jury heard testimony from both sides and sat through a graphic video in which McVay described details of the killing to police.
