SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A witness called Sioux Falls police this early this morning when he saw two men in an S-U-V with a bag containing a white substance.
Officer Sam Clemens says the suspects were in a West 12th Street convenience store parking lot when police arrived. Clemens says officers noticed an odor of marijuana coming from the car as they approached. The also noticed the passenger kept using his left hand to push something down between his seat and the middle console.
When the two men got out of the car, officers found a handgun between the seat and console along with some meth, crack cocaine, scales and paraphernalia.
Clemens says 32-year old DeAndre Cannon of Sioux Falls was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and possession of a concealed weapon.
