SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A discarded McDonald’s receipt at the scene of a daytime burglary in Humboldt two weeks ago led to the arrest of two men.
Sargeant Mike Walsh with the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office says a suspect was discovered on McDonald’s video. Walsh says that led detectives to 20-year-old Tahlen Bourassa of rural Baltic.
Walsh says Bourassa and 18-year-old Cody Mennis of Hartford are charged with burglary and grand theft. They’re accused of stealing rifles, shotguns and handguns.
Further investigation found Bourassa (boar-RAH-sah) was wearing the same shirt in the McDonald’s surveillance video that he wore to his 24-7 checkup later the same day
