What: News conference to provide severe weather training and warning information to the public

When: Monday, April 21, 2014 1:30 p.m. Where: Fire Station 3 2820 South Minnesota Avenue

Who: Regan Smith, Sioux Falls Emergency Management Lynn DeYoung, Minnehaha County Emergency Management Todd Heitkamp, National Weather Service Tony Burke, Sioux Empire Red Cross Sara Carothers, Helpline Center/Sioux Empire Organizations Active in Disaster

Why: April 21‒25 is Severe Weather Awareness Week. Emergency Management, National Weather Service, and response/recovery agencies will discuss upcoming severe weather threat, safety guidance, preparedness activities, and warning systems to better prepare the community when severe weather affects the Sioux Falls community.
