Tea, SD (KELO AM) - Parts of Tea were without power for a while on Saturday because of a traffic accident.
The accident occurred just before 8:00 Saturday morning when a 74-year-old Sioux Falls man lost consciousness while driving on First Avenue in Tea.
KDLT is reporting that his vehicle hit several mail boxes and a utility pole, according to Brock Nelson of the Tea Police Department. Police estimate that the vehicle was going about 50 mph at the time of the accident.
The man had to be extricated from the vehicle, but had only minor injuries. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash. He was wearing his seat belt.
