Putting Shapes to work in Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Now it’s the Sioux Falls Planning Commission’s turn to put the Shape Places ordinance into action.

Planning and Zoning Official Jeffrey Schmidt says the Commission will be briefed next Tuesday prior to its regular Wednesday meeting.  He says the commission will focus on seven items during the briefing, all on rezoning.  Schmidt says it will be process for the commission.

There are eight commissioners that serve for five years.  They are appointed by Mayor Huether

Shape Places officially took effect April 16th on a City Council vote.
