SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Greg Jamison officially entered the Sioux Falls mayoral race this morning at Campus Park on East 26th Street.
Jamison touted a “change of culture in city hall.”
He says there has been a shift in the balance of power between the mayor and council members. As mayor, he says he'll consult with and give careful consideration to the concerns and recomendations of the city council. And he'll oppose any attempt to give the mayor more power through the Charter Revision Comission which Jamison says is the culture that needs to change.
Jamison says he wants to see Sioux Falls grow but he wants to steer clear of what he calls a boom town mentality.
Mayor Mike Huether has said he intends to run for a second term next year.
