Tea, SD (KELO-AM) Class sizes may have to increase in the growing Tea Area School District as a result of Tuesday's defeat of the latest multi-million dollar bond issue.
School District Superintendent Jennifer Nebelick Lowery says the desire in the Tea Schools is to keep class sizes low, but they may have to increase because of lack of space moving forward as the school population grows. She says where the schools go from here is a very difficult question that the Tea Area School Board will have to look at.
Lowery says it looks like the bond issues was defeated by just two votes, which shows how important one citizen's vote is in a democracy.
