SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - An armed robber took a 17-year-old girl’s cell phone early this morning and smashed it.
Officer Sam Clemens says the victim and a 15-year-old boy, both from Sioux Falls, were at 29th Street and South 4th Avenue, when a man wearing a ski mask approached them.
Clemens says the suspect displayed a knife and told the klds to take everything out of their pockets. The only thing they had between the two of them was her cell phone. The suspect took the phone and threw it to the ground, breaking it.
The suspect left and the girl went home to call police. The boy and the girls were not injured.
