Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls small businessman and the Democratic candidate for Senate, Rick Weiland, is bringing his town to town campaign concept to Sioux Falls starting Thursday, May 29th.
"We are giving Sioux Falls the small town treatment. That is why we have divided the city into 12 neighborhoods and starting this Thursday, I am going to be in each one of them, all 12, one meeting at 7:30 AM before work and one at 7:30 PM after work, day after day, until I have given people in every single Sioux Falls neighborhood the chance to talk with me personally about anything they want to discuss. And when I finish doing that, I'm going to do it again, just like I am for the other 310 smaller towns around the state," Weiland said.
Weiland calls the push across South Dakota’s largest city a chance to earn the people’s vote by talking to them face to face. Weiland is on his second tour of all 311 incorporated towns and communities in South Dakota.
